Quietly floating between clouds of our past,

longing for a smile, a laugh,

Drifting past memories…

Goodbye Summer
We part ways again,
as your trailing winds soothe my sunned skin…

Has it been seven years,
Twelve maybe,
Or countless lives…

The cool fall winds
Dance with trees,
As they bring falling leaves…

Hello, old friend—

You hover above,
blanketing me,
weighing me down…

Carved from ages of smiles, of laughter,
nurtured by fears, tears, and cheers,
slowly painting our face of today…

What beauty is held within—
close, yet so far.
Within, yet out of reach…
